This fine old example of a 1982 Suzuki GS450L factory custom cruiser has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life ?ˆ“ the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to machinery than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 11201 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES. As you can see this bike is complete but has obviously stood forever so the laquer is faded. tyres are perished. battery is flat & brake master cylinder isn't working. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS. The bike is every bit as nice as it looks here. The wheels are straight with nice clean brake plate. disc. caliper & working master cylinder. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Mudguards are both solid & very tidy. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Instruments & switches look great. Fuel tank & side panels are sunburnt but tank isreasonably clean inside. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Exhaust system is original & solid. Seat is in good condition throughout. Chain guard is tidy. Shox are damping fine. The engine is cosmetically clean. it turns over nicely off the starter ?ˆ“ sounds/feels great & has compression ?ˆ“ When we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it a few squirts of ether it starts & runs but the carbs do need cleaning. REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT?ˆ™d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture. The American Title will do this.

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA. who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration & the current fee for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
