UK Yamaha RD500 Classic 2 Stroke Project Spares Repair not RG500 Restoration

Every man loves a project! Very rare opportunity to buy a classic RD500 project! these bikes don't come up very often now. They just keep going up in value too. brilliant investments. If you restored this properly (which I intended to but have a nearly finished RZV500 which I need to finish) the bike would be worth £14K. RD500 sold around a year ago restored to a very high standard for £14K. This has the potential to be a very valuable rare bike. Year 1986 UK bike 6 former keepersFirstly the frame & engine numbers are not matching. This is a project bike for restoration. Everything has been stripped down engine is complete- but I bought it as a running bike. However I cannot make any guarantees on engine condition but it looks clean. There may be small parts or fixings missing but it appears to all be here. Most of the panels have cracks or small sections missing. Rare rare rare genuine Yamaha 47X screen but has a small crack and some marks.
