1979 suzuki gt200 x5

Here is my Suzuki gt200 x5 . I rescued the bike from an enthusiast it had been dry stored for ten years and partially restored but no where near original.

I took it on as a non runner . the bike has had an oil change and the front brakes bled and pads re-faced and the rears adjusted I have been through the wiring and removed/repaired any joins twisted and taped . replaced the battery with a gel unit . nbsp;I have also added period style indicators and mirrors these had been removed at some point and the indicator wiring cut out of the loom reasons why I do not know.

The bike passed its mot (advised on a slightly worn chain) and rides/handles very well with a good turn of speed . the bike always starts first time and the electric starter works but it always starts quicker with a kick.

I have had the tank and panels painted the tail is ok but not perfect and as you can see from the second picture there is already a mark or two I haven't had time to re-furbish the wheels I would have done them if I was keeping the bike and  I haven't had time to find a front mud guard ( a bit tatty ) or order the decals but they are available for £60-£70 and will finish it off.

The carb and tank have been flushed through aswell.

The bike can be used daily or will make a very good base for restoration.

The bike has been fun but has to go as ive got more two and four wheeled projects on the go.
