Description

Welcome to my auction of a Suzuki X5. Great little winter project now that the nights have drawn in. something to get your teeth into. I have owned the bike for nearly 4 years and bought it off my mate from work who purchase it in 2002. so I have known the bike for nearly 15 yrs. The bike has always been a runner. however it last ran in 2011 when I purchased it. I was going to do a restoration project on it myself. however within 2 months of buying it I was also given the opportunity of buying a Yamaha RD350LC for restoration. hence the Suzuki was put aside. as my attention switched to the LC. So unfortunately the Suzuki hasn't been started since nor has any work been done to it. It's in exactly the same condition as when I purchesd it myself 4 years ago.  As you can imagin. the LC is a bit of a money pit. and I'm sorry to say the Suzuki is going to be sold to help with the funds. As the Suzuki hasn't been run for 4 years. I'm selling it as 'Spares or Repair' as so not to confuse anyone that this bike can be ridden away. I suggest the winning bidder to either use a van or trailer to take the bike away.  The bike is very complete. I can't think of anything that is missing. however it does have a none genuine front mudguard. (should be chrome) and the seat base is quite corroded. so suggest would need replacing. (beyond welding in my opinion). oh and no battery. but apart from that. it's all there. There is a bit of documentation to go with the bike. mainly the owners handbook & one MOT from 2002 showing 24052 mls on it. It's only got 24342 on it now. so has been very little used in the last 14 years. Anyway I think that's about it. if you need any further information please do not hesitate to contact me through ebay. I will try and answer all questions to the best of my knowledge. Happy bidding & good luck.

I realise there is a lot of interest in the bike already. and it has only been on auction for just over an hour. I just want everyone to be mindful that this is a restoration project and will need many hours of work to bring it back to its full glory days of the two stroke eighties. Also. I would rather the auction ran its course. there is a reserve price on it. at a price I think is fair for the bike. if it goes past the reserve. then it''s a sold bike. can't say fairer than that. The pictures do show the bike to look better than in the flesh. but as said before. it's fully complete with no parts missing.
