Bidders with negative. a low number. recent inactivity . or from foreign countries are to contact me prior to bidding. Failure to do so will result in your bid being cancelled. It takes time and money to list items on eBay and I want to make sure all bidders are legitimate and the auction goes smoothly. It's nothing personal. I hope you understand. This is a basement find 1970 Triumph Bonneville . The last of the good ones. and argued by most the best of the Bonnevilles. It is very original condition with very little being changed that I can find. I did replace the dipper switch as the one on it did not work. It's a new . made in England part. The headpipes are not the originals either as they should have the cross over tube. The bike has tons of patina or character as I call it. I changed the engine and trans oil. cleaned the carbs. replaced the points. battery. and fuel lines. It runs. idles . and shifts great. All the wiring is intact and appears to have never been cut. The plug wires have been changed in the past and seems to be all that's been changed. The fuel tank is clean inside and should not require any attention. The tires are old and need to be replaced. The only real damage I can find is the side stand lug is broken off. A common problem and one fairly easy to fix. The bike is ready for the next step. Whether that be a restoration . which is easiest done with an all original bike with every part you need. or replace a few parts to get it road worthy and leave it as it is. If it doesn't sell. I plan on replacing the tires. rebuilding the front forks with new seals . boots. and fluid. Replacing the clutch plates and the output shaft seal in the transmission. The bike pulls good but I feel it could use some new plates and while I was in there. replace the leaking output shaft seat. That's the only real leak I could find. I love the look of the bike as it sits and wouldn't touch the paint. But to each his own. The chrome is pitted. the paint is faded. it's no where near perfect. but it's a damn cool bike. I have put about 25 miles on the bike and no problems have presented themselves. That being said. it is an old bike and the condition of the motor is unknown. The mileage says 1900 and the gauges work perfectly. but I don't believe that to be accurate. I would love to keep the bike. but have too many projects and bikes currently to keep up with. This is a very nice original bike that runs . rides . and stops. It is a 45 year old bike and is sold as is where is. Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. I will not be responsible for something I overlooked and you did not ask about. A local inspection prior to sale is welcomed and encouraged.
