CUSTOM HARDTAIL TRIUMPH 750

This is a fairly complete chopper project that I lost interest into building. The frame is a custom hardtail titled by the state of Missouri in 1980with a Harley superglide disc brake frontend. The rear wheel is a triumph rim with a new vintage tread type tire and tubelaced to a Harley hub with a disc brake which is a twin piston GMA in working condition. What you see in the photos is just a mock up of the bike put together. There is a custom oil tank made for the triumph engine for proper oil feed to the rocker boxes. I disassembled the motor which is a 1977 Bonneville and inspected it for wear and here is what needs to be addressed the left side crankshaft journal will need repair as the bearing is a loose fit. I had to press the crank out of the timing side of the engine case so that journal is fine. There is no up and down play with the rods so I did not disturb themso the rod journals are probably ok. The cylinder is stock bore with all good finsand will need to be bored tonext over size. The transmission sprocket needs to be replaced and the bearing. I have a good used bearing from a friend. I had the head glass beaded and it is ready to be rebuilt with no damaged fins. One rocker box cover has a mounting hole that is half gone but will still work and not be seen.The motor is in very good condition and I don't think it was ever taken apart until I took it apart. Every nut bolt washer etc... is there!Look close at the photo's.The gas tank is a new 2.2 gallon alien with a new screw in gas cap and two new pet cocks. This chopper has a suicide shifter and a foot clutch operated with a cable which needs to be replaced. I removed all the mounting tabs that were welded on the bike as I was going to change the whole bike. Ask questions andI willanswer them big or small.This chopper will make one hell of a bike with the right person determined to build something cool. My passion to build a chopper has finally come to an end, now have a 2014 Indian chieftain so riding is nowmy only passion!
