Triumph T140 Bonneville 1973 project

Here I have for sale my matching numbers 1973 T140 Bonneville.   It is UK registered and was MOT'd and running.   I'm selling as a project as the big ends have just gone and I don't have the time or money to get it fixed.

I have spent the last 4 years doing a complete nuts and bolt restoration of this bike. When I picked it up it was in 3 boxes! 

Everything. and I mean everything has been restored or replaced included all engine components.   Unfortunately on a recent run I lost oil pressure and the bike developed a rattle.   I think the big ends have gone. but it will need an engine strip down to diagnose and fix.   The bike will still run. but there is an engine problem. hence the price.   I was only 200 miles into the running in period.

After all the effort I've put in to getting this bike restored this latest set back is a real kick in the balls.   I don't have the time or money or inclination to fund another engine rebuild so this would be great for someone who knows their way around the engine to get it sorted.

I've receipts for all parts for over £5000 spent. Here is what has been done

I've put it at a price I would like. but hey it's worth what you want to pay.   I'm looking for a quick sale at this reduced price. but if I don't get it then I'll get the engine fixed and sell it for full price.
