Vespa Cosa 125 Project

Cosa project. It has not had a complete rebuild but has been brought back to life after standing for a few years. It has had a superficial respray. ew tyres. ew coil. new front wheel cylinder  and there are a few other new spares. It does run on the emergency fuel tap bypass but will need a battery to work properly. I have drained the old fuel off. It is not running at the moment but has good compression. When I got it it had no spark and I found the HT lead had rotted away at the screw in the coil so half an hour after fitting a coil had it running. The gears were working but the cables are stiff. All the lights apart from 1 indicator worked as well so not bad for something that had been standing for years. The horn only works from the battery but I believe can be rewired to operate from the engine directly PX style. It also has the very rare belly pan and legshield side strips in place. What needs doing??As usual the headset top and belly pan screw holes are broken and have been partially repaired. Once done I have a couple of cans of the blue paint to finish them off. The front hub will need to come off and new bearings/seals and speedo drive fitted as these were rusty/seized. I freed these off just to make it mobile. Most PX stuff fits but parts are available especially from Germany. The brakes are not working and will need new shoes and the rear ones looking at as I have not got round to checking it yet then bleeding. It has the Cosa 2 seat and there is a Cosa 1 seat and carrier. The Cosa 2 seat has a brand new lock (?40 from Germany)Basically a couple of weeks and not a lot of money should see it roadworthy but the basis is there if you want to do a full rebuild . Most mechanical PX parts fit it's just some body parts that are hard to come by. Most of the metal parts had surface rust and scratches. Basically I've stopped the decay and another underrated Cosa will live on lolI'm only selling as I need the room and I have too many projects. (or so my wife tells me lol)
