Rare, ocumented, riginal, orrect 1952 Vincent Series C 500cc Comet with provenance and CLEAR FLORIDA TITLE. Current mileage is 15,005. This bike is extremely original, ith no phony patina or aging. Anyone who wants to restore a Vincent motorcycle would love to have this fine example as a reference. It has never been in an accident, r disassembled. All painted, npainted, nd plated finishes are original. Fuel tank transfers are original. Paint on wheels is original. All numbers are correct. Rear frame (swingarm) number and upper frame numbers match. Engine case halves match. Gearbox number correlates to the motorcycle. All cables, oses, nd electrical wiring are original to the motorcycle. Hand grips and foot peg rubbers are all original. Girdraulic front fork works beautifully, nd has never seen damage. Rear suspension is superb. Brakes are excellent. Gearbox shifts perfectly, nd makes no abnormal noises. Clutches hold, nd disengage smoothly. Engine compression is excellent. Engine makes great power, ndstarts on the first kick (see it run on my Instagram page at choppers.inc). Magneto and correct carburetor have been thoroughly gone through. Generator charges properly. Fuel tank is clean inside. The entire motorcycle is in excellent mechanical condition. This was our daily rider at the 75th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August 2015. This is a machine that may be ridden daily, ith confidence. What has been changed: Seat, mmeter, uel valves, rimary chain-case oil filler plug, ires. Bike sells with the original seat, lus the replacement seat. Bike sells with the original ammeter, lus the replacement ammeter. The lens and bezel from the original ammeter vibrated off in Sturgis.The original primary chain-case was lost on the road in Sturgis. Replacement tires are correct for the bike. This particular motorcycle was not built for export. It was originally registered in England, hrough 1961. The British registration booklet is included with the motorcycle. The motorcycle was sent to the USA in 1961. The Vincent was stored until it was sold at J. Wood Auctions in 1992, nd subsequently stored until 2014. Bike sells with J. Wood auction documentation, ritish registration book, nd original Vincent tool kit. I'd like to correct an error in the above description; The primary chain-case cover is original. The Primary chain-case filler plug was lost on the road in Sturgis. The filler plug has been replaced, ut the chain-case cover was on the bike when it left The Works in Stevenage, ngland in 1952.
