Description

The story: A complete. strong running. low mileage RD350 from 1974.   I am currently using this bike for fun and as a daily driver going to work (5 miles one way).  I am 57 years old and put 2k miles on it in 3 months last year.   It’s just fun to ride.    I originally bought this bike for a perfect frame up full restoration project but have changed my priorities as life changes our direction sometimes.   This bike is almost identical to my first motorcycle (a 1973 model) which I used for basic transportation to work and school in the late 70’s.

The good: This is an amazing all original. unmolested. little to no rust. everything is there including rear storage rack. everything works bike with low mileage.  It starts easily and runs great.   The RD350 story is an amazing and significant piece of motorcycle history – just google it if you are not aware of its history and racing accomplishments.   It is titled in my name. licensed. insured and registered in NM.  Autolube is working fine – no need to premix.   Lots of spare parts that go along with the sale like fork seals. carb jets. spare speedo drive assembly. brake pads/seals etc.   Front caliper recently rebuilt. new seals. flushed lines etc.   New ignition parts. gas tank rubber seal. rebuilt forks. carbs cleaned.    Original exhaust in very good shape.   New front tire… back is still good.   Have workshop manual and resource info organized in a binder.   Replaced front hand grips.   Sprockets look good.   Tank is clean.

The bad:  There is some storage damage that has bent the sheet metal headlight brackets – see photos.   Small tank dents. small tear in seat (original).    Front turn signal stems are a little loose – would need to remove headlight cover and tighten the nuts.  Some paint fading.   I need to sell.   Also have bike listed locally so it may sell before bidding ends.   Chain may be original and I would recommend replacing it with a modern O-ring chain.    The bike is jetted for 5. 00 ft elevation so if you plan to run at sea level or so please plan to rejet or tell me to put the stock setup back and I will be glad to do so.

Shipping:  as normal – buyers cost will be glad to assist.   Contact seller if you would like to come by and check it out in person.
