Description

1967 YAMAHA 350 YR-1 Grand Prix CAFE TRACKERJust completed this build. VERY nice. This is Yamaha's very first 350cc 2 stroke twin. You can ride coast to coast if needed. runs perfect. Starts 1 or 2 cranks every time w/ new PVL ignition with lights / generator. Every part of this motorcycle was rebuilt. replaced new. polished. powder coated. etc. ENGINE; every serviceable part is new. Bored first over . 25mm. After disassembly. I was amazed at the condition of ALL engine parts. frame. tank. etc. Rebuilt crankshaft w/ new bearing and seals. Reassembled w/ . 000 runout. New pistons. rings. wrist pins. etc. New Barnett clutch. Carbs where perfect also. rebuilt and bored to 30 mm from the stock 28 mm. Head clearance (squish) was set at . 035". Expansion chambers are hand built per race drawings I found. Pipes are very nice. With the new PVL ignition. unbelievable engine response. I highly recommend these ignitions for all older engines. I have installed 6 ea. of them w/ excellent results. FRAME; sugar blasted. 2 part urethane primer and 2 part urethane desert storm color. SUSPENSION; 2 ea. rear shocks rebuilt & powder coated. Front forks rebuilt and powder coated. WHEELS; 2 ea new Excel wheels and spokes where totally rebuilt and trued w/ DOT street legal knobby tires and tubes. This knobby tires gives the bike that tracker look. BRAKES / HUBS; all new (powder coated) and custom machine work. (view pics). brake hubs are slotted and drilled for cooling. DRIVE; new heavy duty roller chain. Have 3 ea. new front sprockets. and rear sprocket is custom machined for light weight and powder coated. Steering stabilizer. Original (very nice) headlight with tach & speedo built in the top. New expensive moto-batt battery hidden under seat. PAINT; Military green (olive) done by professional shop. Base coat / clear coat. awesome. smooth as silk. I did not install any decals because. I wanted new owner to customize his way. I know I have forget to include all that was done. not to mention the 100's of hours in this build. I'm a 56 year old machinist / bike builder. The Owner and manager at local vintage bike shop here in Baton Rouge valued this bike at $8500 to $9000. Also I know shipping is an issue. I WILL pay half of shipping cost (up to $300. 00) to help out. I will include bill of sale. there is no title on this old bike. Any motorcycle over 25 years old can be registered in your state. If you have any questions and need to talk more in detail. please give me a call. Brandon @ 225-939-1300. Thanks all for viewing. I would rather not auction bike. I'm listing at starting bid of $6750 and buy now $7. 00. Call me. we can discuss details. etc. and agree on a fair price and I will END this sale. This bike is very nice and there is not another like it. Also. check my other sale here on Ebay for a 1964 Yamaha YDS-3 250cc cafe racer. I have a couple of pics of 250 here in this ad. Ths
