'67 Yamaha YL1 100cc Twin Jet

This is a real nice, ery original Yamaha YL1. One of the early Yamaha Models that caught on with riders all over the world that made Yamaha into a major player in the Motorcycle business by the late 1960's. I had one of these as a teen in the 1970's and have owned several more over the years. This one is a very nice,it's very original un-restored survivor making it a somewhat rare fin, t has been well kept and it runs good everything works right, ts ready to enjoy & ride . its been garaged all it's life . The Original Paint, hrom, eat etc are in real nice shape. The engine starts easy and runs strong, he clutch is strong and the carbs have been rebuilt the tank has beenthoroughly cleaned inside,and it was sealed with a quality tank sealer and a new fuel petcock was installed. The Battery is Ne, ights Horn, ear signals all work. There are a few dings in the tank and some pitting in the tank chrome plating & there is a scrape on the oil injector cover but that's minor and had no effect on the tank,that's about the extent of anythingnegative about the bikes appearance. This bike always draws a lot of attention and comments when it out and about town and always pulls a crowd at a bike show . Thespeedometeris a NOS replacement the prior owner found for it. Theoriginal speedometer comes with the bike and shows 5445 miles which is thought to be close to the total original miles since it was replaced mainly for cosmetic reasons. I've owned the bike for several years and have had a lot of fun with i, but it time for me to thin the heard down due to a pending move .
