1972 YAMAHA XS 650 for restoration

Up for auction is a 1972 Yamaha 650. I bought this bike 6 or 7 years ago for restoration but will not have time to get to it.It was modified by the previous owner with slightly extended forks, ftermarket headlight and seat. It looks to me like a small sectionof the frame (the section that goes over the rear fender and around the rear of the seat) was removed to fit the aftermarket seat.The engine kicks over and seems to have good compression. It only has 9804 miles on it. It doesn't have any dents that Isee in the bodywork. The rear fender does seem to be shortened at the rear and, f course, he handlebars are not original.The chrome is actually in pretty nice condition for it's age but the paint has a lot of scratches. The bike hasn't been run in a long time.I never ran it. It's been garage kept. I have original owners manual.
