For sale is my 1981 Yamaha XV920RH. If you are looking at this you probably already know the rarity and uniqueness of this bike. Not a Virago, ot a Seca but sometimes referred to as a Euro. Enclosed chain drive, pright seating position and touted as a sport-touring machine to compete with the Ducatti's and BMW's of the era in the European market. Did not sell too well in the States and as a result was discontinued here after only 2 years. This bike is mostly original except for the paint (very close to original), he handle bars, nd the mirrors (I have after market Emgo's in the stock style). Runs well and looks pretty good too. Has the typical Virago starter issues ie noisy and doesn't catch every time but always starts. Has a small oil leak that seems to be coming from the timing chain access cover. Never leaked enough to bother me so I didn't fix it. Everything is there and no cracks or dents. This thing is a blast to ride and I hate to sell it but medical issues (back and knees) force me to sell. Matching frame and engine nos. 000222 meaning it was the 122nd bike produced, he run started at 000101. My research revealed that there were only 1800 or so of these imported to the US and I doubt there are very many of these still out there running. I can say that in the 3 years I've been riding this bike, 've never seen another one. People are always asking me "what the hell is that". Anyway, nough rambling, ny questions I'll do my best to answer them. Thanks for looking.
