1977 YAMAHA YZ400 YZ 400 YZ400D 2 STROKE VINTAGE AHRMA

Lots of good things about this vintage monster. Starts pretty easy, ewer top end with tons of compression. I was told the clutch is newer as well. Goes through the gears. Tons of power. It is complete except one side number plate. New rear tire. No leaks that I can find. Overall fair condition considering the year. It would be great to ride as is or possible a great project to tear down and make it a collectible. I recently purchased this bike and it is just more than I need.
Now for the bad. The worst thing I have seen on it would be the shifter is welded on the shift shaft. I cannot tell if the shaft was rounded out or the shifter. I would like to think it is the shifter that's worn but I can only guess. I did see a very small hole in the swingarm as pictured. The expansion chamber has had some repairs done. I have the kickstand but it is broken off and need welded back on.
Motor runs strong
no broken fins or repairs that I can see
brakes both work
clutch feels good
frame looks solid
plastics are stained scratched but not broken or cracked.
swingarm has a very small hole in one side
carb has broken piece where the bowl meets. (does not leak)
suspension seems a little stiff in the rear and bouncy in the front
both front and rear wheels seem to have flat spots, pokes all seem tight
new rear tire 95% or better
front tire is 60%
