Yamaha XJ900S Diversion

Selling my 1995 Yamaha XJ900S Diversion. due to a recent change of plan. otherwise I would be keeping this great bike for a long time to come. I have owned this bike for 18 months and used it as my winter bike during that time. The bike is in very good condition for a 19 year old bike and is very easy to ride. It has just passed it's MOT (03/10/14) with no advisories and has a brand new set of Bridgestone BT 023 tyres fitted front and rear(for the MOT)+This bike has a number of additional features which make it deal for use in all weathers. Fitted with:  Heated grips :  Givi rack and Krauser K2 top box with key. :  Stainless steel downpipes and Motad silencers :  LED Daytime running lights (to prevent blind muppets pulling out in front of me)  :  Fork Gaiters (to protect the front forks):  Braided steel front and back brake lines. Prior to the MOT I had the following work carried out:   New tyres front and rear (Bridgestone Battlax BT 023's):   New front fork seals and bushes :   New taper roller steering head bearings :   New front wheel bearings If you know anything about these bikes. then you already know that they are pretty bulletproof with a simple air cooled motor and shaft drive. They only known weak points they seem to have are the fuel gauge gives up and the centre stand rusts out. However with my bike the fuel gauge works fine (normally get 200 miles to a tank) and the low fuel warning also works correctly. The centre stand I took off and had grit blasted over the summer. there was no significant corrosion. and has since been fully repainted.  The bike want's for nothing. is ready to ride and will provide many years of reliable. economical service to the new owner. I live in the North East of Scotland. just outside Aberdeen. so please bear this in mind while bidding. However I will be travelling to the Midlands of England from 14th - 17th of October and could be able to help with delivery. but this would have to be agreed beforehand. The bike is very reliable and I would be happy to ride/deliver in England for an agreed sum and a lift to the nearest train station.
