This much sought after 1979 Yamaha XS650F has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life ?ˆ“ the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to machinery than ours. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES. As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the mirrors. The bike has obviously stood a while so the seat cover & tyres are perrished. battery is flat & the front brake master cylinder isn't working. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS. The bike is every bit as solid as it looks here. The wheels are straight with nice clean discs & calipers. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Mudguards are both solid. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Instruments & switches look ok. Fuel tank & side panels are faded but tank is squeaky clean inside. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Exhaust system is original & solid. The engine is cosmetically clean. it turns over off the kick starter & has compressionbut we haven't run it up. The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.

WE HAVE GOT THE ORIGINAL AMERICAN CERTIFICATE OF TITLE

We will provide proof that VAT & Duty are paid on the NOVA system.

REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT?ˆ™d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture. The American Title will do this.

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA. who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration & the current fee for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will send you a tax disc with your age related registration number.
