1975 Yamaha RD250 White Two Stroke

1975 Yamaha RD250 in great shape! The bike runs great and is a perfect bike for restoration or daily driving! The RD250 was only produced from 1973 thru 1975 and was a fun and zippy two stroke that got attention no matter where it went! This bike is around 90% complete. I believe the only things missing or incorrect are the turn signals. I will try my best to describe the bike in detail over the next few paragraphs but feel free to ask any questions that I may not have covered. Front End:The handle bars are nice and straight and the switches all work as expected (the turn signals should work but because they are missing in the front and rear I have not tested them). The gauges are nice and clear. The throttle. clutch and brake levers and cables all move smoothly. The front headlight works well and the bucket is in good shape. The fork ear on the left side is slightly bent. The forks are not pitted and do not leak. The front brake works well and appears to be in good shape. The front rim has slight rust but should clean up easily. The front tire holds air but the tire will need replaced. The front fender is nice and straight with no rust or dents. Engine:The engine starts on the first or second kick and runs great. The carburetors have been ultrasonically cleaned and new plugs installed. A very clean motor for a two stroke. Body:The gas tank has one small dent on the right bottom of the tank but is in otherwise great condition. The inside of the tank is very clean with very minor surface rust ( you really have to look to see it but wanted to mention it). The seat foam is in great shape and a new seat cover installed. The side panels are complete and part of the decal is missing on the right side. The rear fender and tail light are in excellent condition with no dents. scrapes or breakage. All rubber for the foot pegs and kick start are in good shape. Rear End:The rear rim has minor rust which should clean up easily. The rear tire holds air but should be replaced. The rear drum brake works well. The chain guard has slight rust but is in overall good condition. The exhaust is rust free and has no major dents. scrapes or scratches. Overall. the bike is in good riding condition and a blast to ride around! We purchased the motorcycle from a family who rode it around their farm for most of its life.
