Yamaha RD350 YPVS F2 1989

Yamaha RD350 YPVS F2 Regrettably for sale is my RD350. I bought this as an investment bike but due to having a new baby arrive it has to go! I got the bike 4 years ago as a bit of a project. I put it on the road for the first time this year. Prior to this it hadn't seen the road since 2006. I was told it had an engine rebuild 4000 miles ago but I have no receipts to prove this. For the mot I changed the petrol tank for a solid example. sorted the brakes. cleaned. bled and new pads in front. Carbs cleaned. oil changed. new spark plugs. new clutch. new battery. new speedo cable and a few other odds and ends. After getting it on the road it felt restricted and would only rev to 9k. I purchased some lovely 80's Nikkon expansion race pipes for ??270 that are in beautiful condition. I also put on an alloy boost bottle and a race switchable power commander from Race Lab and rejetted. There is still a slight flat spot so could probably benefit from a tune-up. As a result the bike is now so much faster and revs to just below 12k. I was going to strip it down and powder coat the frame and repaint the fairings as this winters project but due to change in circumstances I will be selling on as a project for someone else. The pictures do make the bike look better but it's certainly no Dog. it just needs a little love. With the bike comes a brand new set of decals to change the bike to Yamaha blue. (The best colour in my opinion) and a single seat cowl which I recently bought. Please note it has a slow puncture in the back wheel. Taxed and tested until April/may. Lots of nice bits bought and money been spent. A good investment for someone. Any questions please ask!
