1983 YAMAHA XJ550

A fantastic little bikeNo MOT or tax but all in running order. Tyres and electrics great engine running sweetly. Buyer must collect. This little bike will make someone a brilliant first bike perhaps someone shorter a lady perhaps. Bought this from a mate who needed garage space about 14 months ago. in that time I've not done a thing to her unfortunately. I have 4 other more needy bikes to attend to. plus a wife and family. Lots of old MOTs to verify mileage. Bike fired up straight away this morning after fitting a battery from another bike and dropping some petrol in the tank. Bike will need a good service last one was carried out in 2011. So needs recommissioning before going back on the road. Someone has painted her in the past it looks ok. but you might want to improve is. or just ride as is. V5 states declared manufactured 1983 but 1st registration is 05 06 1992 and I don't know why. All engine and chasis numbers match. One key only. Think she has an aftermarket silencer fitted. looks the nuts and sounds great with a little throaty sound. Engine ticks over sweetly and has no noises or rattles. Would like to get what I paid (ask I might tell you) unless someone comes in with a decent offer.  Cash on collection would suit me best.
