1997 YAMAHA YZF 1000 THUNDERACE

1997 Yamaha Thunderace

Cat D recorded . taken as a trade in at our shop against another bike . 2 months MOT.  not exactly original and has lots of nice extras . we have the keys . V5 logbook . dyno sheet . ohlins shock manual old mots and the current MOT . 17. 00 miles recorded but this is incorrect and the true figure is around 37. 00

engine runs really well . has previously had some tuning work done but I cannot verify who the tuner was . dyno sheet shows 165bhp @ wheel and just over 180bhp @ crank so whatever was one has obviously worked . exup valve chatters a bit (at least its not seized) stubby exhaust isn't overly loud . gearbox and clutch operate fine

tyres are good . brakes have plenty left on them . braided hoses . nbsp;different levers . nbsp;Ohlins shock . Sprint steering damper and YZF750 swingarm have been fitted . it turns and feels a lot lighter on its feet than any other thunderace ive ridden

Bodywork isn't like new but its still a presentable bike . part carbon wrap . was red/white/silver from the factory . polished rims . single seat cowl . tinted screen .

overall a good solid thunderace with nice extras and a monster engine that has 12 months MOT for very little outlay . we can organise nationwide delivery . viewing welcomed in edenbridge - kent . feel free to ask any questions you may have
