Yamaha XS 650 low mileage & original

Very low mileage and original 1980 Yamaha XS650 with matching numbers. It appears the only items that are not original are the tires and seat cover. This bike runs. but has been setting a couple of years. so the carbs need to be cleaned. The head gasket shows signs that is has been leaking. This bike is considered a project bike.   Due to setting for so long and its age. the bike will need related items replaced. i. e…. fuel lines. rubber components within the brake master cylinder. caliper etc. The front brake does not work due to deterioration of the master cylinder and caliper components. The tank is free of dents. There is one small ding in one side cover. which can be seen in the photos. The paint is original and photos show the various nicks and wear areas . Front rim and head pipes have some pitting. The mileage is believed to be correct. The speedometer and odometer work. but the glass is missing. This is a desirable survivor bike to restore for use. collection or museum. Unfortunately. most of these bikes have been converted to street trackers or bobbers. Sold as is. Clear Iowa Title. I will assist with pickup. but shipping expense and arrangements are up to the buyer.
