1976 Yamaha YZ175c - Racer /Resto Bike & Spare's package - AHRMA

Description

 This is a pretty rare 1976 YZ175c in mostly original condition as you can see from the pictures. If you are a Yamaha fan you are probably familiar with this bike. It would make a nice winter project for a Vintage racer or for Restoration enthusiast who is mechanically inclined.  It has been in storage for over 7 years. It ran prior to storage but it will need to be gone through in order to prepare it for riding/racing. This bike is not perfect but it is one of the nicest examples I have seen.  I will go into more detail about the bike below but if you have additional questions feel free to contact me. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have. There is no title with this bike but I will prepare a Bill of Sale for the new owner. One other thing worth mentioning is although this is a rare one year model OEM/ NOS parts are abundant and very reasonably priced which makes restoring or racing this bike easy.

Note: I have a bunch of spares that come with this bike for free that are easily valued at 500 dollars or more.

Bike Detail:

Frame: it is in very good condition with no repairs. Engine: motor is tight and has good compression and spark. Since this bike was in storage for so long it would be wise to install new crank seals. new filter. nbsp;clean the carb and change the transmission oil. Also the rubber intake manifold is cracking and should be changed (DC Plastics sells brand new ones). Kick starter is in great shape and clicks into place nicely. Suspension: these are the original forks with the resevoirs on the top.  They are not leaking but it would be wise to replace fork seals and fresh fork oil. Fork boots are in nice shape.  Rear shock has no dampening most likely from sitting so long. New seals and shock oil should be installed (RaceTech sells the parts for this particular shock). Wheels: Front rim and tire are in great shape. Rear rim has a pretty good size dent in it so you may want to consider swapping out for another one. The YZ 125 shares the same rear rim and they pop up on Ebay pretty regular. Bodywork: The tank on this bike is very nice with no dents. The "YZ175: decals will need to be replaced and they are available through "reproduction decals". Fenders and front plate are in nice shape and so are the side plates but they were painted. You can buy reproduction side plates from DC Plastics. Seat: in good shapeExhaust: pipe is original and in excellent shape.

SHIPPING:  costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. I don't mind holding the bike for a while once it is paid for. I realize it takes time to make shipping arrangements and I want to make this a stress free experience for the buyer. I do have a pretty good list of shippers I would be happy to pass on to you.
