2003 APRILIA ETV CAPONORD 1000 SILVER

APRILIA ETV CAPONORD 1000. selling due to health reasons- my ME means I can't get on the bike so now have a scooter :-(

Gutted to be selling it as it's been a great all-rounder when riding alone or with my other half as pillion and fully loaded with top box and panniers for a trip to the Isle of Man and Brands Hatch. I only bought it in April 2014 but haven't been able to use it for the past 6 months. It's garaged & hooked up to a trickle charger so the battery is still in great condition. I start it and let it warm up every week.

Currently SORN. tax ran out in November. V5 present. Bike is MOT'd until September 4th 2015. passed last MOT with no advisories. Chain is in good condition. the tyres are Continental Contitrail Attack in very good condition with a lot of tread- 6mm on back tyre & 3mm on front tyre. The bike is good condition cosmetically. there is a scratch around the left indicator and a scuff on the left hand side of the fairing (guess someone dropped it at some point). I've tried to show this in the 5th photo & can also be seen in the 2nd photo. There are also a few light scratches on the tank. No rips/tears to the seats.

Since owning the bike. I've fitted Hepco & Becker crash bars worth approx ?200; a taller screen; headlight protector; cush drives; rear brake disc & pads; RR rectifier regulator so on tickover I've got a regular 14. 5 volts as shown on the voltage meter I've fitted. Also fitted KTM footpegs for the rider as the original footpegs felt too skinny & were certainly no good for standing up on :-)

Only bad point is the speedo is no longer working so I've fitted a digital speedo for a push bike as a temporary fix- works spot on! I tried to use a carbon fibre vinyl wrap on the dash as shown in the last photo but this has bubbled slightly!

The bike will come with all of the above as well as the trickle charger we have; Givi plate and Kappa monokey top box.
