2002 APRILIA CAPONORD. If you are taking the trouble to read this ad you know what your looking for? A lengthy but 100% accurate description follows which I hope you read and enjoy. Here we have my Capo that some may say is a Marmite type bike! Well I love it and in the 18 months ive owned it I have covered approaching 6000 miles. This is predominantly three major trips. two covering Spain and Portugal in June 2013 and June 2014 (last two images) and most recently in early October 2014 a trip to Magny Cours for the World Superbikes. The previous owner to me a close friend covered less than 1000 miles in his three years of ownership. Anyway to the "nitty gritty". I would describe my Capo as in excellent condition with no expense spared during my ownership. The niggles that cause negative comments about these great machines (if you ride one) have all been ironed out and it is faultless mechanically. I have had the alarm removed professionally at great expense. as this would run the battery down in days causing poor starting! Not anymore. With the second major expense being the ignition coils. these being cheap French items as standard.  These have been replaced with high quality aftermarket alternatives resulting in the bike running like a swiss watch. The wheels another weak point cosmetically were rebuilt by the previous owner with new rims. stainless spokes and nipples along with powder coated hubs and new bearings. Tyres and brake pads have been replaced this year so no expense on the horizon. All receipts for the parts I have replaced are present along with the last 7 years MOT's supporting its mileage. There is a fair amount of other old documentation with invoices to confirm it has been well looked after. I hope you can see from the images it is almost unmarked and it looks even better in the flesh. with only two scars of note. The first a scratch on the "off side" front fork leg the second a scar on the screen which is why I put the tax disc where it is. so you can hardly see it?? Both of these wounds were done by Brittany Ferries morons. a tie down ratchet caught the fork leg and a boarding sticker was placed on the screen which I could not remove at the time. On my return home I used an aggressive chemical like a nob. hence the scar.  The bike comes with genuine Aprilia luggage brackets (not fitted) and a GIVI/KAPPA top box plate fitted.  A service manual on CD. two keys and the original suppliers wallet. I strongly recommend the bike is viewed and inspected as it will cement all I have said above.  Your now wondering if its so good why am I selling this great bike. My reason is simple and straightforward. At almost retiring age the time is right to ride feet forward and the opportunity has arisen to purchase a Street Glide at the right money.
