For sale : GIORGIO SARTI ' S BIMOTA 25 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE Giorgio NADA Editore This is a New copy of the definitive reference book on the rare exotic Italian BIMOTA brand Im a senior owner / collector and Ive had a number of BIMOTAs over the years and still consider them my most favored brand of motorcycle BIMOTA of Italy is a small motorcycle manufacturer that designs and builds some of the most beautiful and exotic 2 wheeled vehicles man has ever seen. They have introduced and lead the world in the use of novel and unique features and designs to maximize both form and functionTheir bikes are each hand built one at a time . by a master builder and they make only a few motorcycles on any given day. Their designs continue to stun and amaze. They dont only look like Italian exotic beauties . they also perform as well as they look . BIMOTA got its start in one off custom builds . and branched out into the road racing world where their R&D methods and their personal approach to building gave them the edge over even the worlds biggest manufacturers Its a little known fact than many of the features found on modern motorcycles came from this tiny Italian brands designs . This book goes chapter by chapter through the first 25 years of the brands history From its birth and infancy . through its initial kit bikes and road racing relationships with their engine builders . and through their many superb low production number motorcycles sold to the public. BIMOTA has always used a donor engine from one of the bigger manufacturers . Instead of re inventing the wheel ( engine ) BIMOTA concentrated their brilliance on building the worlds best motorcycle around its beating heart ( engine ) BIMOTA became known when they started building race bikes using the engines of donor manufacturers . and creating machines that vastly surpassed the motorcycles that the donor company was building for their race efforts. BIMOTA first started selling motorcycle chassis kits where the buying public could build their own BIMOTA using a donor bike for the engine and some associated bits. From the racing and bike kits . eventually BIMOTA became a real manufacturer. But instead of just building another "normal " production motorcycle . and instead of using the production line mass production methods like everyone else. BIMOTA decided to do it their way. The BIMOTA way was to continue building their bikes . one at a time . and by continuing to use a tried and proven donor engine. The result became ultra rare ultra limited production of essentially hand made motorcycles that were head and shoulders above anything the other brands were doing. By using a bullet proof . powerful engine from one of the big bike manufacturers . BIMOTA could concentrate all of their energy on building the worlds best motorcycle using the worlds best components . These limited production machines that BIMOTA was building continued to carry over and us the R&D of their racing history. So buying . owning and riding a BIMOTA is more like having a street legal road race bike than a mass produced bike . Their history continues to unfold in this excellent book . Rather than continue the story . Ill let you read the story on your own. I dont want to ruin it for you be telling you how the book ends :) This book is one of a handful on brand new copies that I had bought for my own collection. I still have a couple of these around so this one Im selling because I just dont need so many copies and Im trying to thin out my book collection. CONDITION:The book is new and 100% original and complete . There is nothing written into the book anywhere that I can see. It has not been tagged or dog eared . All of the original pages are there and all in excellent condition . The book jacket is on good condition but it does have some signs of wear and there are a few tiny areas on the bottom edge and by the spine where the jacket is torn ( see pictures ) . The book is a hardcover and is on excellent condition. There is only the slightest of signs of having been handled and moved about . It has spent all of its life either on one of my library shelves and or in a stack of other copies of the same book in my den ( Ive moved by den and library a couple of times since I got these books) . Now the book is not 100% Brand New ( 100% Brand New to me would be a book still in its original wrappers and having not been handled ) . Th book is in excellent condition. The jacket does show a bit of wear . Ive pretty much described the book as best I can . Contact me with any Qsthanks DAO
