Been my bike since 2001.Took me to work and rallies.Maintained by me. Last job done in 2014: replaced pushrod tube seals de-coked heads replaced headgasketsGreased clutchsplines and "while in there" replacedswingarm bearings.Steering head bearings were done previously.Have ridden about 600 miles since.E Bayforced me to specifymileage. When I bought this bike I wasassuredthat she had done around 20000 miles.I put about that same number on her.So somewhere around 40000 to 50000 milesI can't ride this bike anymore also I'll be 70 come Sept. and must clear the "herd"I have shrunkconsiderably2". Broke 3 vertebrae in 2001.Gotten fat and by replacing seat with later morecomfortablemodel I have trouble reaching the ground 28" inseam.Due to back and knee pain can't work on her anymore either.What needs to be done by buyer:Check head torque (new head gasket) reset valve clearance readjust timing currently a tadadvanced.Adjust idle jet on carb.If you can swing a wrench don't be afraid to work on an old boxer there's plentyof help available.Join the /5 united airheads and slash 5 BS (banter and tech help) forums. Also "Snow bum's" and Duane Ausherman's websites.They will also guide you if you need theprofessionalsto work on your bikeLet's keep these old Beemers going the ?/5 has now attained theclassictitle.There are no dents on this bike paint chips here and there ? sure this is a unrestored original.Whatshows up in pic #5 right side font of tank is glare so are the innersideofcigarmufflers in pic# 9.Owners manual and tools (incomplete sorry) and wrenching advice I printed of the web are included.This is a good running machine. Test rides are no problem as long as i have cash in hand.I do not get involved with shipping.
