BMW R100GS Aircooled Classic Motorcycle

I would like to offer for auction my 1989 BMW R100GS. I have had the bike for 5 years and last year decided to commission a complete SED nut and bolt restoration with the sole purpose of creating a go anywhere adventure tourer. Since the restoration I have completed two european tours on her totalling 4500 miles but she has not been ridden part from that and is kept garaged. There are some minor chips and blemishes but overall she is immaculate. I did not go for concourse since the bike is for practical use. The bike has been extensively modified by Steve Scriminger at SED (arguably the countrys foremost BMW aircooled expert) for both performance and reliability and I have spent in the order of £5k getting her where she is now. In addition there is £1k worth of Touratech Zega pro luggage included with the bike. Significant modifications include; Fully rebuilt blueprinted engine with twin spark. Rebuild and modified gearbox. rebuild wheels with powder coated hubs and rims. later front fairing fitted. full respray in Audi quartz grey. frame re-enamaled in BMW Santorini blue. modified front forks with progressive springs and extra damping. odyssey battery. the list goes on. I thought I would add a bit more detail to what has been done to the bike and to add what else is included. Frame blasted and stove enameled. All paint work professionally resprayed. Seat recovered. Wheel hubs and rims powder coated then rebuilt with new stainless spokes. Upgraded front brake with large disk conversion. Caliper also stripped and rebuilt. Forks repainted and fitted with progressive springs and additional damper. Later front fairing fitted. Upgraded rubber damped handlebars for extra comfort and clear mirrors. R100gs hand guards. New left hand switchgear. 400w alternator upgrade with improved aftermarket diode board. Engine is a totally rebuilt and blueprinted with higher compression. twin spark. larger exhaust valves. Complete custom stainless exhaust. Carbs cleaned and refurbished. Gearbox rebuilt and modified with additional return spring on selector. New valeo started motor. Paralever and bevel stripped and rebuilt with all new bearings. Rear shock stripped and serviced. Odyssey battery. Stainless nuts bolts throughout. Every bearing replaced. Touratec zega pro luggage which has been vinyl wrapped and covered with venture shield on rack mounting side. I have fitted a matching lock kit and base plates for bottle holders. Also included are 3 holders and bottles for fuel. oil and water. In addition to the above I am also including a Secdem touring screen and the original single headlight nacelle and belly pan.
