2005 BMW F650GS Dakar w/ ABS

 Here is my maintenance record:

2005 BMW DAKAR

Purchased on 8/9/12 in Asheville NC for $5500. 00

8/16/12  22. 45 miles Continental TKC 80. Front and Rear. checked bearings. brakes. balanced.

8/16/12   Inspection and title application

8/16/12 notice need brake pads worn. replaced front brake pads

8/23/12 22. 06 New Battery from AutoZone

8/23/12  discovered retainer ring for headlight bulb was broken and wired on.  Removed headlight and installed new H4 bulb and epoxied retainer ring in lightly to save $216 for new parts.

9/15/12 replaced load relief relay which restored headlight functioning.  

9/15/12 23. 33 oil and filter; air filter. spark plug. clean and lubricate chain

9/15/12 23. 33 repair battery tray noted several missing fasteners

9/26/12 23. 33 Oil level good. no leaks of oil or water

1/5/13 24. 35 new rear brake pads DP622  off road pads

remove chain

1/5/13 new rear sprocket 47 teeth. new front sprocket 16. new chain.

I have taken this bike to Mexico for a dual sport trip. to Big Bend. and some in New Mexico.   I rode it home from Ashville NC in two days without difficulty.   I have gone through and fixed a few minor items.   Today I replaced a fuel line clamp and washed it. took it for a short ride.   Everything functions exactly as it should.   I would not hesitate to fly in. drive it to Oregon or wherever you live.
