2006 BMW R1150 GS Adventure Special Edition

Original owner. Bike has 26. 84 miles. It is one of less than 200 units BMW exported to the U. S for the final year of it's production. The matte Alpine white fuel tank paint marks the 25th anniversary of the original BMW GS. It has a 7. 9 gallon metal (not plastic) fuel tank. I have ridden over 300 miles on a single tankful.  The bike's design. modifications. and the ride are made for any kind of long range adventure. The Jesse panniers. BMW Fog Lights. Fiamm horn. and a Touratech foot peg lowering kit were installed as options. I also added Adventure bar risers shortly afterwards.  The horizontally opposed flat-twin engine helps make this the most planted model GS ever on highways. passing trucks. in high crosswinds. on bad pavement and in pouring rain. It felt much more stable than the 1200's that I'd test ridden beforehand. I've ridden with my wife cross-country and from Florida to NY in the past year with total confidence in all of the above conditions. It is a supremely comfortable ride for both 2 up riders. I wish I had done more adventure riding off-road; the low mileage is 99. 9% on paved roads. The lower 1st gear ratio (vs. non-adventure GS's) helps it crawl at very low speed whenever you need it to. It has never been in a crash. It has been dropped once on each side while being prepared for overland shipment. The current set of Metzler Tourances have about 500-1000 miles left on them.  Oil. clutch. brake. final drive and transmission fluids have been changed regularly. After the first year in service. the bike has used only Castrol and Mobil 1 synthetic oils. The bike has always been garaged.  The bike includes both sets of keys. all up-to-date service & maintenance records. and all owner manuals.
