1974 BMW R90S Needs Restoration - Original Owner - Purchased New - 69k miles

As I recall my brother purchased this motorcycle new in December of 1974 at he local BMW dealer in Portland Oregon.   He rode the bike most days. weather permitting.   He put all of the 69257k miles on it between 1974 and 1995.   Some time in 1995 or 1996 he thought he heard a noise inside the engine. he disassembled the engine and it  has not run since.   The pistons. crank and camshaft are out.   The transmission has not been touched and turns freely. The bike has been garaged its entire life. but time has taken its toll.   As far as I can tell the items missing are both exhaust tail pipes or mufflers. (the down pipes and cross tube are there). The windshield and the clock from the fairing are missing (the volt meter is there).   The valve covers are missing.   The key for the seat lock is broken off (the original ignition. fork lock and gas cap keys are there)  The BMW logo on the rear fender is missing.   There is no battery.   There is a dent in the right side of the tank.   Other than what Ive listed everything else appears to be there.   You might ask why he took a perfectly good running bike apart?  My brother has suffered from Paranoid Schizophrenia his entire life.   I would not be surprised if there was nothing wrong with the engine at all. however at this point a total restoration is probably in order. The bike has all original matching numbers. It would be a shame to part it out.   I am selling this for my brother to help with his expenses. hopefully someone out there is looking to save a R90S.   Please ask any questions or request any photos.   I will try to post some more photos as well.   Shipping will have to be arranged by the buyer.
