1951 BSA Gold Star ZB34 CB32 Frame

"Engine ZB34 GS 32(xx) was despatched in a ZB32S 3400-sequence frame to Victor Horsman's BSA dealership. Renshaw Street. Liverpool. on 23 April 1951. It was in Clubmans trim with special racing cams 65-1346 inlet and 65-1348 exhaust. 1/16th inch plate under the cylinder to give a compression ratio of 7. 4:1 . 1 5/32 inch TT10 carburettor. 360 main jet. . 109 needle jet. needle position 4. throttle valve (cutaway) 6. Lucas magdyno and 45 inch plain exhaust pipe. Tested for Mr W. C. Hancock on 16th May 1951. Max power was 32 BHP @ 6400rev/min. Ignition timing is 1/2 inch before TDC @full advance. " From original factory records. CB32 swing arm frame is of course non-matching and a later year than the engine. Motorcycle is registered with full documentation. A few jobs need doing namely the lights and wiring harness/battery etc which have not been installed - speedo - and head steady. The original 10GP2 carb comes with. noting that an AMAL 389 has been fitted for reliability. and ease of setup/ tuning. The M01 provides a very strong spark and the E3L dynamo is verified operational.   Pics show the bike with the seat/ tank removed. as well as with present. and engine no.

Bitsa Goldie runs and rides very well and has a fully rebuilt STD gearbox. Any replacement parts needed were sourced from AutoCycle Engineering ;  non-standard components include the "Brooklands" large capacity alloy tank; Marzocchi 35mm front end; Grimeca SLS front hub; magnesium rear hub; Akront rims and Red Wing shocks.  

Will consider selling sans engine/gearbox. as a complete rolling chassis; or major components separately inc front end. tank. Amal 10GP2 1-5/32nd etc; remote float chamber listed in another auction.   Need to make way for a new project.
