1960 BSA C15S Scrambler

1960 BSA C15 S Scrambler.   Frame # C15S840. Engine # C15S1018.  This bike is in good shape. but a sale is being (strongly) suggested by my lovely wife.   Not a practical machine for me. living in a small town.   She hates my bikes. and one may need to go.  I bought it from a nice guy who performed the restoration.   It has only about an hour on it – clutch sticks a little but should loosen up.   It smoked a little on starting so I asked a local specialist to install an anti-wet sumping valve.   It may still smoke a little but runs well. It also includes a variety of spare parts (see below). including a 2nd tank.   The original was dented. so I pinstriped and coated the inside of the spare tank.  

Please keep in mind this is a British vintage bike.   It leaks just a (very) little bit of oil (drop every now and then) – and can break at any time.   Right now it starts easily and runs.   It’s also not cosmetically perfect.   It has some scratches and scrapes (see pics).   This is a nice rider.   Please rely on the pics.  Absolutely no disappointments – you can inspect and walk from the deal.   Once picked up the deal has to be final.   Reasonable reserve (less than what I have invested) – but I won’t disclose.   It must be picked up in New Canaan. CT – about an hour north of NYC.   No title. just a bill of sale.  Funds must clear or cash before pick-up.  I can help coordinate with a shipper. but the buyer must arrange.

Outlined below are the spare parts and description of the work from the nice gentleman who restored this bike:

Completely rebuilt motor.  Powder coated frame.  Re-chromed original fenders - front and rear.  Motor was rebuilt with a new alpha rod bearing and the right side needle bearing kit.  Full bearing motor.  Hidden air filter.  OEM head and stator. rotor. distributor. and carb. New fork seals. rear shocks and tire.  Folding pegs but originals included.  Other spare parts include NOS OEM air filter and housing. original fork gaiter with clips. extra alpha rod bearings. coil. points and condensers. OEM shocks. brake shoes and air box with filter.  Also includes (dented) spare tank.  See pics for the spare parts 

Although I've owned a bunch of old bikes. including Brits. I'm not an expert.  The foregoing is about all I know.
