Classic twinshock enduro four stroke 175cc Gilera regolarita competizione ISDT

This was the culmination of Gilera's development of 4 stroke ISDT bikes from the fifties to the end of the sixties. They made 1300 of these for sale to private riders and they are replicas of the bikes ridden by the Italian team in the 1968 ISDT. The bike has the usual ISDT features of QD wheels . location for air bottle (not supplied). light weight (102kg) and rugged construction. You can see from the photos that this bike is generally in good shape. Wheels have good hubs and spokes. nbsp;competition flanged steel rims have some small patches of corrosion but clean up nicely. tyres are new. Fork stanchions are good (Ceriani) and work smoothly. Tank is dented as the lockstop on the frame has snapped off and needs a weld repair. Tank is clean inside. some surface corrosion inside the tool cavity to the rear of the tank. Seat has a small split. Fibreglass mudguards are in good shape just need a repaint. Engine has a clean bore (I have had the head off ) and the gearbox selects all gears. Bike is believed to be complete but there may be some small parts such as fastenings missing. I have had this in the garage for many years and now realise I will never get around to rebuilding it. hence the sale. Would make a great bike to show. or ride in vintage enduros with that punchy four stroke sound. Hopefully it should be clear from this that the bike is a non runner requiring restoration.
