1978 Harley Davidson Sportster XL

Listing this 1978 Harley Sportster XL for a friend. The bike has been in heated dry storage for about 5 years and has just over 18. 00 original miles. It has a brand new battery just installed. It will start right up by spraying gas into the carburetor but is not getting gas from the carburetor. The carburetor needs to be cleaned. Also the front brakes don't work and will need attention. There are no dings. scratches or dents in the gas tank or fenders. The paint is in very good condition. This bike has the 1000cc iron head engine. It is believed to have the screaming eagle kit. The chrome has some pitting. needs to be polished up and is decent. The leather bags are in good shape but do need to be cleaned. The plastic lenses on the speedo and tach are blemished as shown in the pics. The tires have lots of tread. The bike has an very comfy aftermarket touring seat that is like brand new with a Harley back rest. The old original seat is also included. The bike is being sold as is.
