1946 FL Knucklehead Harley Davidson

1946 FL 74" Knucklehead with matching belly numbers1947 Frame-unmolested 1939 springer front end w/18" wheels4. 50x18 Firestone Deluxe Champion tires NOS (less than 1000 miles)This bike was built by the late George Barak of Trinidad. Co in the late '50's. from our research '57-'59 as near as I can tell. George was the Harley dealer in SE Colorado (and the only cop) who bought inventory from distressed Harley dealers back in the day. consequently he acquired a huge inventory of old Harley parts and bikes kept in a barn. Paint. chrome and sheet metal all are from the '50's. This bike is NOT a complete original 1946. however it was built during a time when there was very limited aftermarket parts available. The patina is period correct for 60+ years old. The bike was purchased. taken out of storage in Colorado and moved to Florida in the mid '80's. where it was stored. ridden and enjoyed until February 2014 when it was bought from the Florida owner and shipped to Kansas City. FL Knuckleheads. while not rare on the market. have become very expensive for an original. Here is a chance to own one that could be made into a show piece (how much do you want to spend). or with time and effort. a museum quality rider. Yes. it starts. runs and drives fine. I will leave it to some else to tell me what year the tanks are. or the shifter. or the handlebars or the etc etc etc. I simple don't know for sure.
