1946 FL HARLEY DAVIDSON KNUCKLEHEAD

up for auction is a 1946 Harley Davidson knucklehead FL. he motor is matching 46 belly numbers with perfect cases. there are no visible repairs anywhere and no damage. they are perfect. every part of the motor is OEM. original cylinders heads and everything else. standard linkert M35 with oem air cleaner with tag still riveted in place on top. Cycleray headlight with original cycleray glass. original bee hive with glass lenses. even has original stamped harley davidson number plate bracket. the seat is super nice old leather with no rips or tears. even the hand grips are original are in perfect condition. The motorcycle starts first kick and runs excellent. its the strongest / tightest knuckle i have ever ridden. the speedo is 1947 one year "bubble top" speedo. the bike had been sitting as is for 30 years until nine years ago when it had a fresh set of tires put on it and a new battery. nothing else has been touched since apart from maintenance. that means it has been as is for over 40 years. maybe longer but i can not say how long. i am not an expert on original old bikes so i have had a few people who have gone over the bike and what i have found out is that the frame is an original 1937 only frame. they believe this is a very very old restoration with extremely old paint in exceptional condition. there is marks on the paint. it is NOT perfect. the bike has a tonne of character and the photos don't do it justice. almost every single part on this machine is OEM Harley Davidson. as far as we can tell the muffler. gas caps. coil and side stand have been replaced but every single other part is original Harley Davidson. Everything on the bike works and is still 6 volt. all lights and the horn work as they should.
