Honda VTR1000 SP1My personal race bike. only being sold because I'm changing classes for next year. Bike is very competitive in the Golden Era or Modern Classics classes. had multiple podiums this year and it is currently in the top 3 in the championship. Bike has been stripped and rebuilt twice in the last 2 years just for piece of mind. it has never let me down since I prepared the bike. I wasn't planning on selling the bike but my sponsors want me to race in a different class next year. so it is ready to race or to be used as a very quick and well prepared track bike. Holds its own in the fast group very easily at any trackday. Already appreciating classic. Spec:

2000 SP1 frame and engine. genuine blank frame that hasn't been tampered with (was thoroughly checked to ensure it is genuine and passed to race with Thundersport). all engine numbers intact and not messed with

Standard headers with Beowulf link pipes and cans with baffles

PAIR system removed

Sigma slipper clutch - essential for track use on one of these

Red Samco hose kit

Durbahn airbox and spare filter - rare and expensive part and makes a good power increase

Brembo RCS adjustable ratio master cylinder with folding lever

Titax clutch lever

Braided lines all round (plain stainless colour)

Standard callipers. had new seals in 6 rounds ago. currently got Ferodo race pads on the front. standard rear caliper with EBC sintered HH with loads left

Tube type rear brake reservoir

Cordona quickshifter - box is fine but the switch is broken

Robby moto quick action throttle with 4 cams and 1 race meet old cables (quickest cam currently fitted)

Nitron race shock with rebound. high and low speed compression. preload and ride height adjustment - it's got a black Nitron spring because I don't like the look of the turquoise ones. it cost me £25 extra but makes the bike look right - done 6 race meetings from new

SP1 Showa forks with K-tech kit and springs (K-tech fitted). new fork seals and oil 2 rounds ago

Sprung for someone 12st. but I put on weight and it was still good when I was 14st without leathers

Dymag 16. 5 magnesium race wheels. modern 7 spoke ones from the 2010 SMR BSB blades (still got the Easton and Ellison stickers on. they came from an SMR sponsor). recent rubbers

Front Supercorsa which is loose (was borrowing a front wheel)

Stock rear subframe has been de-lugged to save weight and all electrics except reg/rec (to keep it cool) are mounted inside subframe for crash protection

Race fairing with HRC replica seat unit - a bit of gravel rash and a couple of old repairs but still solid

Complete sub 1000 mile SP2 gearbox in excellent condition

Akrapovic titanium race headers - have cracked along a weld so need repairing

1 race meet old OE filters (flow more than the engine needs with the stock box and fit perfectly)

Spare HRC replica lower fairing/bellypan with a few scrapes but otherwise good

HRC replica top fairing - would need repairing but would do in an emergency if it was taped up

Spare tail fairing that uses the stock seat (seat included) in usable condition

Spare bars. pegs. bungs. toepegs. some damaged but still usable

16. 5 wets - used but in decent condition

Multiple 16. 5 slicks - part worn from BSB. been stored in a cupboard at a constant temperature

The spare engine has a suspected gearbox issue. the engine itself is still all good with good compression and power. I was still using it but you had to use the clutch for up changes to avoid the odd false neutral. I just put another engine in to do the rest of the year and got the gearbox and crank to build a tuned engine over winter.
