Honda CD175 1975 MOT'd

Here we have my Honda CD175I came off my bandit just before Christmas. and ended up swapping for this and a moped. I was going to keep and commute but moving house forces saleWhen i got it. it ran ok-ish. i ended up putting 2 new tyres on. nbsp;changing fork oil. new front brake cable. new rear brake shoes. new spark plugs. new spark plug caps. new carb needle jet and seat. new fuel pipe and inline filter. new fuel filler cap. a load of stainless nuts bolts and washersI then removed both mudguards and hammerited the underneath of them (there was no rust underneath what so ever!!!) but had bean told they rot out quickly and are near impossible to get hold of. i then removed both exhausts cleaned them and sprayed the rear silencers matt black (the chrome was going) if i had the money i would of re-chromed them- again they rot out quickly and originals are very rare. After that i removed the tank. and did the same with the top tube. down to the bottom engine mounting and to the end of the seat base with hammerite. removed swingarm and hammerited that NOTE: my paint skills leave a lot to be desired it was done with the intention of having a good hard barrier against corrosion not for looks - there are runs everywere!! i removed engine mounts and did them. All spindles have been out and greased. I changed the oil when i got it December then again today 1st February. i use castrol semi synthetic 10w-40 (quality oil)It has Mot to June or July (i will check and update) all lights work as they should. charging system works. starts well. uns well but the engine is a little noisy. Its an absolute hoot to ride :) not for the faint heartedalso have a haynes manual. new rear brake switch and a condenser (original works well just a tad rusty)The last pic is when i 1st got itTo sum it up. a 40 year old bike which is on the road with MOT and all consumables replaced. fit to ride as is or restoreI have the chain guards to go with it as wellMissing the left side panel - 35 new off ebayI will clean. wax and oil the bike before sale finishscollection preferred or if your using a courier i will accept paypal
