This 1997 Honda CBR is inexcellentmechanical and cosmetic condition. Aldo just for the sake of mentioning it may have very minor scuffsor scratches. It has a stage two carb kit with KNN air filter followed by an Titanium Akrapovic exhaust, $1300 value no longer available for this model by the manufacturer. Also featured in this model is HID Headlamps for maximum lighting on dark roads. This bike considered the fastestProduction Motorcycle in 1997 took over for the then top dog, heKawasaki's Ninja ZX11. In the mid 1990s, onda was determined to produce theworld's fastest production motorcycleand to take over the associated bragging rights and marketing impact, t the time held by Kawasaki's Ninja ZX11.This led to the creation of the CBR1100XX Super Blackbird. The Blackbird name is a nod to the Lockheed SR-71 aircraft, he world's fastest aircraft.

In the February 1997 issue ofSport Ridermagazine, he CBR1100XX was tested at a top speed of 178.5mph (287.3km/h),compared with 175mph (281.6km/h) for the ZX-11.[14]Its supremacy over the ZX-11 was confirmed in April 2007 byMotorcycle Consumer News, lthough the speeds achieved were slightly lower and the margin was narrower.
