1979 Honda CX500C Custom

1979 Honda CX500C (Custom) up for bid. No reserve. This bike is in nice condition, bit over 29,000 miles. It runs well (as of last fall, hen I winterized it). I ran the carbs dry last fall, nd put Stabil in the tank (non-oxy fuel). Not started yet this season, ut always stored inside.The tank is in very nice condition, o dents, nside is nice and clean. Side covers also in nice condition - the paint job on both is in very nice shape, o noticeable scratches. The chrome is all in decent condition, he only exception being the license plate holder, hich has some rust on the interior, hich isn't noticeable with the plate on.Tires in good condition. I don't know how old they are, ut no weather checking. Lights, orn, lectrics all work. The battery is a couple years old, ut I have kept it on a charger, o should get some more life out of it (hopefully). New 20W-50 oil in the crankcase, ew oil andair filter.New radiator hoses.Original (I think) tool kit under right side cover. The carburetors were synched a year ago, o should still be good.The mufflers are not original, nd have some staining, o rust but are fairly loud. Only a couple small problems to resolve: a small drip from the oil drain plug (will need a new gasket), nd the rear brake light switch will need either replacing (these are priced reasonably) or adjusting. The ignition key will not open the helmet holder lock on the side of the seat - either it takes a different key than the ignition key (which I don't have), r it is frozen. But you don't need it to raise the seat, ecause there is no storage under the seat and it doesn't swing up, t needs to be unbolted to be removed. Also, here is a small windshield (after market) that is innice condition.
