Description

1985 Husqvarna 250 CR

NO RESERVE AUCTION - THE HIGHEST BIDDER OVER ONLY $795 GETS THIS MOTORCYCLE!

This is a 1985 Husqvarna 250 CR motorcycle in great original condition. Husqvarna manufactured the 250 CR model for only four years – 1984 through 1987, o this is kind of a rare Husky. In addition, he Husky 250 CR’s were the first Husky with a water cooled engine and the first Husky without dual shocks in the rear. Not to mention that they also incorporated an exceptional Ohlin single rear shock, his provides excellent rear wheel travel. This is a great bike to race in the vintage motorcycle races because it qualifies for the Evolution class that goes from 1980 to 1985 motorcycles and since you have the water cooled engine and the single Ohlins shock in the back you will have an advantage over other bikes in this Evolution class. The Lake Elsinore Grand Prix (LEGP) is next month on November 7 and 8, 015 – so here is your chance to race with the “over 30 year old” motocross bikes. My Ebay profile picture is me racing my 1975 Honda 125 Elsinore in the LEGP.

The bike has all of the top of the line parts. As previously stated, t has an Ohlins shock in the rear, hich, y itself is worth $250. It has a practically brand new big Maxxis Maxx Cross 100/100-18 tire in the rear and a Dunlop Sports K490 80/100-21 in the front. Both tires are almost brand new – they only have three days (less than 8 total hours) of riding on them. The wheels are in great shape with no dents. It has a DID 520 DS chain that is great condition and the sprockets are not worn out. It has a plastic Cagiva gas tank and cap. Being plastic it does not have any dents and is clean – no rust. By the way – in 1987, agiva bought the Husqvarna motorcycle division. It has a Husqvarna Ceet seat cover that has a couple rips in it, ut still in great condition. It also has Acerbis plastic front fork protectors. It has a Mikuni carburetor. It has Magura front brake and clutch levers and lever perches as well as Terry cables and rubber cable covers. Not to mention it has also top of the line Brembo brakes. These Husky’s also have a chain tensioner bar and polyurethane wheel that keeps the chain tight at all times which is a great idea.

It has a few scratches and is missing paint is some spots but overall, t is in very good condition for a 30 year old dirt bike. It has one broken spoke on the rear wheel. This bike has not been started or ridden in over 15 years but it has exceptional compression and the gas tank is plastic so no worries with rust and the carburetor was drained prior to storage.

I am selling it for only $795 dollars, hich is $155 less than the NADA good value for this bike. These motorcycles have a NADA guide value of $950 for Good Value and $1305 for Very Good value and I think this bike is between a Good and Very Good valued motorcycle. Again, am selling it for much less than the Good Value and just $250 more than the Fair value. See NADA table for this bike below:

Excellent

$1,820

Very Good

$1,305

Good

$950

Fair

$545

The motorcycle will be sold as-is, ith no warranties implied and it comes with a bill of sale only. I have also verified that the bike’s VIN record is not on file with the California DMV so it is free and clear of any additional DMV fees if you want to get a title for it. See picture of vehicle registration inquiry report form. The bike is located in Southern California between Los Angeles and San Diego.

Please check my Ebay history – I have close to 200 positive feedbacks and it is at 100% satisfaction for a reason. Ninety five percent of my Ebay sales are related to mini bikes, otorcycles and/or motorcycle parts. I have been riding, acing, estoring and collecting motorcycles for over 45 years.

I also have several transport contacts and can get this Yamaha transported almost anywhere in the United States for much less that most motorcycle transporters and USHIP. I also have transported motorcycles to Australia and Europe and I have no issues selling to anyone out of the country. I know of several international transporters and I will charge $150 to assist you with the logistics and finding a shipper. This also includes getting the bike to the transporter/logistics, lus fifty cents a mile, oth ways. You pay the transporter to get it over the ocean, hich is around $750 U.S. dollars to both Europe and Australia. I will charge an additional $100 to obtain a title, ecause a title may be required for international shipment.

As you can tell from the pictures, his is a great bike to have. Please contact me with any questions or if you would like other pictures. You are welcome and encouraged to see this bike in person before the auction ends – just send me a question and I will provide on site viewing/riding details. Please no tire kickers – only serious buyers that really want to buy it.

Please see the rare exceptionally restored fiberglass Rickman gas tank that I also have listed on Ebay.
