husqvarna twinshock cr430 1981/82

1981/82 Husqvarna CR430  Twin shock.

Very tidy bike and ready to race. This bike is by no means a concourse example but it does look very nice and runs well.

I have had the bike approx. 2 years as my second bike and only used it 4 times. hence the reason for sale.

I have never had the need to inspect top/bottom end of engine. but have replaced clutch basket and put on a new aluminium HVA side cover as the original magnesium cover I could not stop oil leaking and it looked very brittle. I have put a rear mudguard bracket on the frame. which can easily be removed. but in my mind provides more stability when you need to get the bike out of a hole !

It has new tyres front/back and a new chain. only used once at this years Saturday Hot trod in Northumbria. where it ran very well if you ignore fuel pipe leak which caused me to do only 4 laps in the first race!!. The bike currently has lights (not wired) bolted front and rear to be eligible for some but not all enduro?ˆ™s/hare&hounds and can easily be removed and original number board replaced.

Now the things that are not perfect. back mudguard has small split. the lacquer on the tanks is not the best and hence some patching of paint work round the fuel cap neck. and the kickstart is a little bent. None of these things are major. but if like me you like things right its worth me mentioning them.
