Two 1976 Kawasaki KZ900's

Up for auction are two 1976 Kawasaki KZ 900's. They are both are mostly original. have low miles. and retain factory paint. The green one runs and rides great. The brown one is locked up. They are in nice shape but have a few flaws. Both have clear titles in my name. Auction is for both bikes. No reserve. Green KZ900: I bought this bike from the original owner about 8 years ago. About 6 years ago I started working on it and replaced the following: - New tires. tubes. battery. wheel bearings. oil/filter. spark plugs. - New MRE extra fiber clutch kit. new clutch cable. roller bearing clutch pressure plate pusher. roller bearing clutch actuator from an early 80's KZ1000. - New carburetor to head rubber mounts. - New rubber grommets on the side cover mounts and on the foot pegs. -Last year I had a shop synchronize the carburetors and set the ignition timing. - Bike runs and rides great. The bike is mostly original and has the stock air filter. air filter box with cover and snorkel. The tailpiece drawer is there with the owner's manual and break in manual. The center stand with spring and mounting bolts is there too and will go with the bike but is not on the bike right now. it interfered with the exhaust pipes so it removed it. Also. I kept the original clutch and actuator and they will go with the bike. The bike had non-original handle bars on it when in purchased it and the front left blinker stem was broken. So I installed Renthal dirtbike handle bars and shortened all of the blinker stems to tuck in the blinkers. The wiring for the blinkers was not cut so the original length stems could be placed back on easily if wanted. All lights. blinkers. and hazard function work properly. I have the original bill of sale. Kawasaki warranty card. and a clear title in my name. The odometer shows 9. 91 miles on it and to my knowledge this number is correct. Selling because I have only ridden this bike about 500 miles in the last 5 years. it is a real nice bike -- just don't have enough time to enjoy it. The blemishes that I know of are: - The bike is 38 years old. there are scratches. cracked wire looms. and other imperfections - Small dent in the front left side of the gas tank - There is what looks to be rust behind the left side gas tank badge - One starter cover bolt is broken off in the starter and one starter mount bolt is broke - The clear coat on the top of the gas tank is starting to peel off - There is a small tear in the back of the seat near the piping and the front bottom near the pan - Rubber boots between the carburetors and the airbox have rips - One aluminum tang inside the rear hub is broken- The battery is weak. Brown KZ900: Bike was last registered in 1984. It was stored inside in a porch that faced the sun until I purchased it in 2006. The person I bought it from purchased it from the original owner and never did anything with it. The original brown paint is sun faded and there is a small dent in the left side of the tank. The engine does not turn over. I have a clear title for this bike in my name. 13. 25 miles. Missing parts: - Exhaust pipes. I have a set of what look to be original pipes which I will sell with the bike. but they have been cut and re-welded for some reason and I do not see any stampings on them so not real sure what year/model they are for. - Key and indicator lights cover - Side covers and tail section - Rear grab bar - Rubber boots between airbox and carburetors. and snorkel - Ground wire for the battery Everything else is there and in decent shape for the most part. This bike would be a good candidate for a restoration. One difference that I see on this bike is that the petcock has both outlets on the back side where the green 1976 KZ900 that I have for sale has one outlet on the back and one on the left side. The levers are the same on both petcocks. Auction is for both bikes. Please look at the pictures closely and ask any questions before bidding.
