1981 Kawasaki KZ1000 CSR, lack, 5,600 Miles:
Full clear title, have all paperwork and bike is paid up until 07/12/2016. Registered to me and on CA plate. I also have receipts for the parts I have added to the bike.
Bike is in great working order and runs perfectly. I have just ridden from LA to San Francisco and back again, o problems at all. The engine pulls well and all gears select well. It needs a little choke on cold mornings but that's standard.
This is a good honest bike, nd I am only selling it as I am moving back to the UK.
The bike is 34 years old so expect the cosmetics to reflect that. I have worked on this bike myself and all the internals of the engine are in good condition. All bearings and cams are in good working order.
The bike has: Electronic ignition, SB charger, ustom seat newly upholstered, od filters, arbs cleaned and vacuum synced, uel gauge, anual cam chain tensioner and fully serviced.
New parts include:
Front brake master cylinder.
Front calliper piston seals and dust seals.
Front and rear brake pads.
Front wheel bearings.
Head gasket, ase gasket and cylinder head gasket.
Valve seals.
Front and rear tires.
USB charging connection.
Battery.
Oil and filter change.
Horn.
Bad bits:
-Speedo not functioning correctly, he needle is erratic and only works above 50mph. I have identified the problem to be the speedo gear on the front wheel. I have seen speedo gears on eBay for $20 and the part can be changed with the bike on the center stand. I have not fixed it as I use my phone as a speedometer mounted on the handle bars.
-Tachometer/rev counter is present but not connected as the engine in this bike does not have the necessary connection on the top cam shaft. I can only assume a previous owner replaced the cylinder head from a different model that did not have a tachometer. You can buy a digital tachometer that connects to the spark plug HT leads if that's something you require, asy to fit. Or fit an original head back on.
Will include a few spares, Clymer manual and saddle bags if required.
