1971 Kawasaki F8 Bison 250

Unrestored 45 year old classic survivor. Single cylinder 250cc 2 stroke. Bike is a street legal, ead light high/low beams and brake light all work, oes not leak any fluids. Bike has a build date of 10/1970, oes not have the optional blinkers as these were not mandatory in 1971. Brakes, ransmission all in working order, hifts great. Engine Choke is mounted by the throttle and works properly. Speedometer, rip odometer, nd neutral, igh beam indicator lights all work. The seat has a few small tears in it but is comfortable when riding and doesnt look too bad. Overall bike appears to be mostly original except for tires (wheels are balanced, o missing spokes), ear shocks. Oil pump is hooked up and works fine, attery is 3 months old. I replaced the original chain and sprockets a few hundred miles ago with NOS 15 Front/46 Rear, ike rides really nice and runs at 4500 RPM at 50 MPH. I cannot verify the true mileage of the motorcycle as original speedo stopped functioning at 6,200 miles and the replacement was at 2,700 miles. At the time of placing this add it is reading 3,317. Clutch Plates/Springs were replaced by previous owner, lutch slips a little if you really peg the gas. I have tried adjusting the cable at the lever but have not found the right setting to cure this. The front fork seals should be replaced at some point and I am including these along with the extra parts mentioned below. Horn does not work, ay be a dirty contact or something have never really looked at it closely. I ride the bike mostly on the street and it runs and drives great, tarts usually on1st or 2nd kick. It smokes a little when 1st starting...its a 2 stroke! I drive it like a classic and do not race it around or beat on it, t is a pleasure to ride and you can't beat the sweet sound of a vintage 2 stroke!Comes with 2 ignition keys.

I have a clear title, wners manual and a Kawasaki parts manual. Also have a few extra parts including new Fork Seals, OS clutch/brake lever boots, ork brace, OS foot brake lever, new spark plugs. I was going to repaint the exhaust but never got around to it and have a NOS exhaust manifold w/gasket, NOS exhaust springs and NOS asbestos string.

Local Pickup here in Washington NJ is preferred, am unable to deliver.
