KTM 250GS 1988

Bought as a project. as a non-running. non-road bike - I decided to road register it to year of manufacture (nightmare!).

Engine re-built. and all necessary mechanical and structural work done to get it through a full MOT (day and night riding).

Uprated to more modern power dynamo ignition system which is more reliable.

All genuine parts used where possible (parts from all over the world!).

Had to buy new original clutch/water pump outer cover which is magnesium as the original had been eaten through by water (a known problem with the original bike).   Have replaced water with Evans Waterless Coolant to stop this happening again.  

Have had to stop spending money on it. so have not got as far as making it look 'pretty'!

It really just needs frame powder-coating and new plastics to make it look lovely.

(majority of original plastics and parts are still available - I used Jim Aim in the UK. and Andre Horvath's Enduro Klassiker in Austria who have been really helpful in getting me parts) .

Engine has only done a couple of practice days since re-build. and about 60 miles on the road.

Comes with a box of spares. including new gaskets and bits needed to convert to off-road only for MX.
