LAMBRETTA SERVETA SX200/JET200 - RUNNING UNREGISTERED FOR RESTORATION

Up for auction is a fabulous example of an unmolested. completely original Lambretta/Serveta SX200 - Jet200.  Judging by the serial number I would guess this is 1980 (US Spec) Scooter but the winning bidder would need to get this validated as part of the registration process.  The Scooter runs and rides very well. all gears select and brakes work well - so with a tidy of the wiring a new battery (I believe this powers lights. indicators etc) and a bit of elbow grease this could be ready for MOT and registration pretty easily. I intended on doing just that and keeping it original. paint etc - but just have too many projects on at the moment. The engine sounds very sweet. many suggest it is a better unit than the Italian SX200 and I can see why - it's very clean and serial numbers match (frame/engine). Low mileage (11. 21 KM) which I would guess is correct. given the general condition. That said. it is used and now 34 years old. so it will need a good clean. :) I have the original indicator units which can just be re-attached and re-wired and I have already sourced new replacement lenses. The only small faults I have found is the black rear light mounting is broken. these can be easily found and are very cheap. if I come across one on eBay before the auction ends I may well have replaced it anyway. Also the seat cover has a very small hole so would probably need to be replaced at some point. again I would leave it as original as possible.  This is a fantastic Scoot and the basis for a very easy restoration or a little scrub up and use as is - which would be my option. It currently has no documentation. so the winning bidder will need to register for NOVA. and obtain confirmation of age etc in order to register with the DVLA. I am selling as seen. with no warranty offered.
