Description

Hi Folks,

I am selling my 1975 Norton Commando 850. This motorcycle only has 874 miles on it since a full, rame off, nbsp;restoration, hough it may increase a little. I don't know what the exactmileage was before the restoration, ut I was told it was around 8,000 miles. This motorcycle is in very, ery good condition. I believe you would be hard pressed to find another one in this condition. I have owned it approximately2 years, nd have put about 820 miles on total. The first 50 miles was put on by Baxter Cycle, arne, owa. Most anyone familiar with Norton's is familiar with Randy Baxter and his company. They are one of, f not the premier restorer of Norton Commando's in North America. Randy actually delivered this bike to me when he came through Ohio in 2013 on his way to the Vintage Motorcycle meet at Mid-Ohio.

I have the original work order that lists all of the parts that were replaced, lated, nd powder coated.

This is a wonderful riding bike, hifts very well, tarts easily, dles perfectly. This is a matching numbers bike. With the electronic ignition and Mikuni carburetor, t starts and runsextremely well. And it is pretty darn smooth riding in that 3,000 to 4,000 range that the 850 Commandos love. I am also a member of the INOA (International Norton Owners Association) and am on AccessNorton.com forum every day. I have 2 other Commandos as well as several other vintage bikes.

There is one chip on the left side panel. This happened when I had the bike up on the lift and I was adding a battery tender. I accidentally dropped the side cover on the lift and it put a small, hallow, ent and chipped the paint, pproximately 3/8" x 3/8". Please see the pictures for more detail.

This motorcycle has quite a bit of mechanical upgrades as listed below:

*Mikuni Single Carburetor

*K&N Air Filter

*Pazon Electronic Ignition

*Barnett clutch plates

*Original Riders Manual

*Upgraded Starter

*SuperBlend Main Bearings

*Dunlop K81 Tires

The carburetor and electronic ignition installationwas done by a very talented mechanic, ill Atkins, rom Milford, H, ear Cincinnati, H. Everything else was done by Baxter Cycle. I do all of the service and maintenancework.

I am a fanatic about maintenance. All of my motorcycles get at least one oil change a year, hether the mileage indicates it is due or not. Generally speaking, change oil approximately every 1,500 - 2,000 miles on all my vintage motorcycles. This motorcycle hashadan oil change every fall before she get's put up for the winter.

All of my motorcycles are stored in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. The temperature never gets below 64 degrees, or above 76 degrees.

Allof my vintage motorcycles, nd cars, et ethanol-free gasoline and SeaFoam, lways. No rust in the gas tank.

Also, ll of my vintage motorcycles, nd cars, re kept on Battery Tender's year round.

Mileage may increase a little, s I will probably ride it occasionally.

Feel free to contact me about seeing the bike in person. I welcome visitors! Test rides may be available, ut please have cash in hand.

Thanks for your time,
