VELOCETTE LE 150cc MOTORCYCLE BARN FIND - COMPLETE RESTORATION PROJECT

VELOCETTE LE MOTORCYCLEThis is a 1966 Velocette LE Motorcycle and is being sold as a complete restoration project. Bike details; Velocette LE 150cc Four Stroke Water Cooled. Horizontally Opposed Twin Cylinder. Three Speed Gearbox to a Shaft Final Drive and my data book says it produces 6bhp!!Speedo says 31441 miles. I am selling it on behalf of a business associate - here is it's history. My business associate is the second owner from new - he purchased it as a runner and then put it into dry storage for the last 26 years. It went into dry storage with a leaking base gasket. It has not been run since before it went into storage and it appears it may well be seized as the kick start is solid. The Lefthand Spark Plug has snapped off at the very top. there is no battery and the radiator hoses are stiff and hard. It is rusty all over!! and I mean all over! What you see is what you get - cobwebs / dust and rust - don't believe there to be any live stock on board apart from the little spider in the empty battery box. On a "D" Plate Registration but please note there is no Registration Document ( business associate lost it!)I would love to restore this little gem but simply do not have the time as already have a project on the go - ( I have never worked on a horizontally opposed twin before - looks interesting! )Motorcycle is located Nr Marden.
